The most common PS5 failure — and the most fixable
A PS5 that powers on but shows no signal on the TV almost always has a damaged HDMI port. The port's tiny pins bend or break when a cable gets yanked or the console is moved while plugged in. Sony's answer is a mail-in service that takes weeks; ours is a micro-soldered port replacement done on our bench in Natick, usually back in your hands in 1–3 days.
How the repair works
We remove the board, desolder the damaged HDMI port under a microscope, clean and inspect the pads for lifted traces, and fit a new OEM-spec port. Every repair gets a full video-output and heat test before pickup, and the work is covered by our 6-month warranty. If the fault turns out to be the HDMI encoder IC instead of the port, we'll tell you before any extra cost — free diagnostics, no fix, no fee.
Symptoms we fix
No signal / black screen with the console on · TV flickers or cuts out unless the cable is held at an angle · visibly bent, loose or pushed-in port · 'crunch' when inserting a cable.
